Question

Hi, I need to link journal entries that correspond to payments to contractors with customers for whom those contractors worked for. How can I do that? Thanks

Example:
1000 Cost of service
           Contractor A    1000
Where can I link the customer to contractor A (the customer could have many contractors related to it and receives one invoice for all the work done)?

Let me provide some details about linking journal entries to contractors' payments, eeinoder-montevi.

I can see the importance of this feature would help contribute a great part to your business needs. For now, being able to link journal entries to payments is unavailable. Instead, you can enter a vendor expense, check, or bill. Then, you can make it a billable expense to your customer or client.

You can also let our product team know how this benefits your company by sending feedback. You can visit our Customer Feedback page and send the request from there. Just click on the Give Feedback option highlighted in yellow. I've attached a screenshot for your visual guide:

Additionally, QuickBooks provides several reports that will tell you the different aspects of your business. You can learn from this article how to customise them: Customise Reports In QuickBooks Online.

Keep in touch if you have any questions about journal entries. I'll always be right here to help you.
