Deleting a bank transaction in QuickBooks Online only takes a few easy steps, Jennifer.


If the bank transaction is still on your Banking page, you can follow the steps below to completely delete it:

 

  1. Select the Banking or Transactions menu.
  2. Find and select the transaction you want to delete.
  3. Click Exclude.
  4. Go to the Excluded tab, then select the entry's checkbox.
  5. Hit the Delete button.


On the other hand, if the transaction is already categorized and reconciled, you’ll want to remove it from the reconciliation to delete it from your books. See the screenshot below:

 

Please note that deleting a cleared transaction can’t be recovered and will affect your reconciliation.
