How can the sales revenue be deferred on it's total relevant period?

for example if the revenue is for the period from October to December, I need it to be divided across the whole period not recorded as a total on the day the invoice was made

I can show you how to record those sales revenue, @menna-yasser-lem.

 

You can create a single invoice and then record partial payments within those periods of months. Here's how:

  1. Click the + New button. 
  2. Select Receive Payment.
  3. Choose the profile of the customer from the Customer drop-down menu.
  4. Under Amount Received, enter the amount of the partial payment.
  5. Add the Reference no. and Memo if applicable.
  6. Click Save and close
