You can create a supplier credit to apply the discount, dovegrovebirr.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can access the Supplier credit feature by clicking the +New button. Here's how:

  1. Go to the +New button.
  2. Under Suppliers, select Supplier credit.
  3. Choose the supplier from the drop-down arrow.
  4. Enter the other information needed.
  5. Hit Save and close.

Once done, you can use it as a discount when paying your bills. I'll guide you on how to do it.

  1. Go to the +New button.
  2. Under Suppliers, select Pay Bills.
  3. Select a bill transaction.
  4. Supplier credits apply under the Credit Applied column.
  5. The remaining amount to pay will show in the Payment field.
  6. Click Save and close.

Alternatively, list the discount as a line item on the bill under an income account and enter it as a negative number to reduce the amount owed.

Additionally, you can check this helpful article about managing supplier's transactions: Income and Expenses.
