Is there an option to prepare a purchase order in Quickbooks online?

Yes, you can definitely create purchase orders in QuickBooks, siskin1977.

 

We'll need to turn on this feature first. If you haven't yet, you can follow these steps on how to turn on the purchase order feature:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Expenses tab.
  3. Click the Purchase orders section and turn on the Use purchase orders option.
  4. You also have an option, if you want, to enter up to three custom fields and a default message for vendors. 
  5. Select Save and then Done.

To start making purchase orders to your vendors, here's how: 

 

  1. From the left menu, click the +New button.
  2. Select Purchase order
  3. Enter the purchase order details and items.
  4. Click Save and close
