How to register Paychecks without Payroll option?

Hi! We use Quickbooks Online in a country that (sadly) does not offer the Payroll option. What is the best way to register payments (and responsibilities) concerning paychecks? Thank you.

I'm here to help you record payroll payments, Jo Almeida.

 

QuickBooks Online International version doesn't have payroll functionality inbuilt. You can create journal entries to book the details of the salary components.

 

Here's how to create the journal entry.

 

  1. Click + New, then Journal Entry.
  2. Enter the paycheque(s) date.
  3. Enter the debit and credit accounts
  4. Select Make Recurring.
  5. Click Save and close.
