Question

I lost all bill transactions on one supplier, all the credits and payments are still there

no transactions were deleted but all bills are gone

I'll help you bring back the missing transactions, userpfarrellgarage.

 

First, you'll still want to pull up the Audit Log report to verify that there are no bills deleted for that vendor. If there is no deletion happened, you can access your QuickBooks account in an incognito or private window. It could be the stored cache and cookies in the browser are the root cause of the missing transaction. Here are the shortcut keys:

 

  • Google Chrome and MS Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

Once logged in, go to the Expense menu, then review the bills. If they're now showing, you'll have to return to your main browser and clear the cache. This deletes the junk files and enhances your browsing experience. If the issue persists, I recommend switching to other supported browsers.

Browser troubleshooting steps should resolve the missing bill transactions. Since it doesn't fix, I'd recommend contacting our experts so they can securely review your account and investigate this matter further. If needed, our experts can escalate the issue and open an investigation.

 

Although I'd love to look further into this for you, but I don't have the same types of tools needed for the job as our Customer Care agents do. To reach them, proceed with the following steps:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu, then click Contact Us.
  2. Type your concern in the box and tap Let's talk.
  3. Click Chat and complete the required data and submit the request.

 

Make sure to contact them within business hours to ensure a swift response.
