Let's make sure you're able to track your projects in QuickBooks Online, @sabah1972,

 

To start using this feature, we need to turn it on in the Account and Settings page. Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Settings ⚙ menu and select Account and Settings or Company Settings.
  2. Proceed to the Advanced tab and click the Projects section.
  3. Mark the Organise all job-related activity in one place checkbox.
  4. Make sure to click Save and Done to complete the set up.

Once you're done, you can now see Projects on the left navigation panel. Here are some Community links to get your way with tracking your work and do other tasks in QBO:
