Hello there, @sanjida_Shawlin. I'm here to help you in making sure you'll see the descriptions for your transactions on the transactions history page.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the information under the Memo/Description column depends on the type of report you're viewing.

If the report you're viewing shows information for the transaction in its entirety, the data in the Memo/Description section will show the details entered in the Message displayed on statement box or Memo field. If the Memo/Description column is blank on the Transactions history page, you'll have to input the needed information in the Message displayed on statement box or Memo field by editing the transaction. Let me guide you how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the account where the transactions are allocated and select Account history.
  3. Find the transactions in question and click it.
  4. Then, select the Edit button.
  5. Depending on the transaction type, enter the required information in the Message displayed on statement (for Invoices, Adjustment Notes, Sales Receipts, etc.) box or Memo (for Expenses, Bills, etc.) field
  6. When done, click Save and close.

On the other hand, if the report you're accessing derives information per line item basis, the Memo/Description column will display the data entered in the Description field for each item under that specific transaction. If you can't see any data in the Memo/Description column, possibly that there aren't any details entered in the Description box for each line item of the transaction. To correct this, modify the transactions and enter the information in the item's Description field.

For your reference in accessing your transactions history, you can visit this link: What are account histories in QuickBooks Online?. It also provides you steps on how you can edit transactions in account registers.

However, if verified that you enter the information correctly in the Memo/Description field and the column is blank when accessing the transactions history page, you may want to clear the stored cache files of your browser. The saved cache can get corrupted and damaged over time that caused issues when using QBO.

Ensuring that your transactions belong to the correct account is necessary. You may accomplish this by going to the Banking page and categorise them from there.

I'm always available here to address any questions you may have about accessing your transactions history. Simply leave a reply below, and I'll see what I can do to assist you further.
