Is there any way to view and restore deleted transactions?

I have a transaction from previous months under the Bill Menu of Expenses which I cannot find it now, can someone help me how to restore it

Hi there, Annie. We can pull up the Audit Log and recreate the deleted entries since the option to restore it is unavailable in QuickBooks Online.

 

QuickBooks Online keeps a comprehensive audit log that records every transaction and modification made within the system. Restoring deleted entries can compromise integrity, making it difficult to track changes accurately. 

 

To access the Audit Log, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Hover over the Reports menu. Select Audit Log in the Business Overview area.
  2. Set the Date Changed to This Month.
  3. Click View to see the details.
  4. Note the information of the deleted transaction.
     

 

Now, let's recreate the deleted bill.

 

  1. Click +New, then Bill.
  2. Refer to the information in the report and complete all the necessary fields.
  3. Once done, Save.
     


If the transaction did not appear in the Audit log report, we can head to the Expenses menu and adjust the date filter for confirmation. See the attached screenshot for a visual guide.
