We'll check your employee information to make sure that all National Insurance (NI) numbers and tax codes are accurate and current, Sue. Any missing or incorrect details can impact deductions and overall calculations.

    Here's how:

    1. Head to the Payroll on the left panel and pick Employees.
    2. On the Payroll Center, click on the employee's name to view more details.
    3. In the Profile tab, navigate to the Tax information section, and click the Edit link to open the Tax info screen.
    4. From there, review the information entered in the following sections: Tax code, NI letter, and Tax calculation method. If necessary make the changes.
    5. Click the Save button.

Perform the same process for the remaining employees. Next, open the Annual Payroll Summary (P11) to find detailed information on each payroll for the tax year. This includes data on employee payments, taxes, National Insurance contributions, and other deductions. Next, run the Employment Payment Record (P32) to view your monthly payroll taxes and liabilities due to HMRC, which includes income tax and National Insurance (NI).

    Here's how:

    1. Navigate to the Reports menu on the left panel and enter Annuall Payroll Summary (P11) or Employment Payment Record (P32) in the Find report by name field.
    2. Set the correct year on the report you're working on.
    3. Review the data displayed in each report.
    4. Use the HMRC calculator to cross-check your calculations and ensure compliance with the latest tax regulations.

Once you've identified where the discrepancy is coming from, I recommend contacting the HMRC for advice on how to resolve the matter and correct your payroll data.
