Hello @JR5019,

Thank you for reaching out to us here in the Community. I'd be glad to assist you with editing a transaction in QuickBooks Online.

The issue usually happens when the browser's stored cache may be full. It can cause unusual behavior in QuickBooks, such as unresponsive or malfunctioning features or options.

You can run some troubleshooting steps to isolate and get back on track. I'd suggest you start by logging into your account using a private browser or Incognito.

It doesn't store any data in the cache. Thus, it's a great way to isolate browser-related issues.

If you're using Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press the CTRL + Shift + P shortcut on your keyboard. For Safari, hit Command + Shift + N. Press CTRL + Shift + N if you're using Google Chrome.

While on a private browser, go back and edit a transaction. If it works fine, clear your browser's cache to have a clean slate and for it to function efficiently.

If private browsing doesn't work, switch to another supported web engine. This way, you can get the best and most secure experience with the program.

In case the problem happens only when editing through the transaction list, try updating it through your account register. You can follow the detailed steps in this article: Find, review, and edit transactions in account registers.

Additionally, I recommend checking out the following link to know more about how to change multiple transactions or move them to a different account: Reclassify or move multiple transactions at once.

I'm just a post away if you need more assistance editing transactions or navigating the features in the Online version. Take care.
