Hello there, accounts-dynamix.

Missing Payroll tab can sometimes be caused by browsers. Using a private window helps us verify a browser cache issue since this doesn’t store any cache files. To begin, you can use these keyboard shortcuts to open one:

  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browser)
  • Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

When you're able to view the Payroll tab, you can go back to a regular browser and clear the cache. Once a cache is piled up, it can cause some unexpected issues on the opened pages like QuickBooks.

You can also switch to a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.

I've also added this link about the payroll tasks in QuickBooks Online: Manually enter payroll paychecks in QuickBooks Online. Just a heads up, this article is in a US version, the steps and ways are the same though.

I'm only a post away if you have any other concerns while working with payroll or anything QuickBooks. Have a good one!
