Allow me to provide you with some of the possibilities as to why the said option is not showing, grahamthebutcher.

You can click the dropdown button to see the Save and close option. One possible reason is that your last selection to save your transaction was Save and new, your last work will reflect in your current one. Also, you can use the shortcut key Ctrl+Alt+D.

If the Save and close option is still not showing, we can do a browser troubleshooting steps. Sometimes, older or corrupted caching files can cause problems in your web browser.

To begin, please log in to your QuickBooks Online account using an incognito window. Depending on your browser type, you may refer to the keyboard shortcuts provided below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
