Export QBDT to QBO

Hi,

I am busy transferring to QBO from QBDT 2020 Pro.

I have subscribed to a bulk subscription for 5 QBO companies.  Last week I have exported the first company without any problems.

Now when I try to export  a company to QBO I get the "You'll need to update your software" - message.

I have tried to update multiple times.  I keep getting a File Doctor error #12007.

When I go to the Utility > Repair file and network> Download File doctor,  it says intuit does not support this browser.  I am using the newest Google Chrome and have the latest Microsoft Edge installed as well.

I am stuck and don't know how to get this issue resolved.  I have already uninstalled my  QB Desktop 2020 and reinstalled it , still not working.

Please advise!

I appreciate the steps you've taken to resolve the data transferring issue from QBDT to QBO, EsteeA.

Let me share some insights into why you're unable to transfer your data seamlessly into QBO.

Intuit is working on a new migration process to move your QuickBooks Desktop data into QuickBooks Online to:

  • Improve the overall moving experience to QuickBooks Online.
  • Improve the quality of data transferred and increase the size of data files we can migrate.

For more details, check this article: Why can't I move my data from QBDT to QBO.

You may consider looking for a third-party application converter tool that can integrate with QuickBooks. You can visit our QuickBooks App Store to find one that suits your business needs.

@EsteeA

Which QB Desktop country version do you have? UK version?

I suppose it is the South African version.  Where do I check which one it is?

There is no QBD 2020 South Africa version. You said in the first post that you have converted one file. Which QBO region did you create? If you are not sure, open the QBO account as Primary Admin and navigate to the Billing and Subscription menu. How much is your next bill?
