Question

Hello, Can someone please help or figure out why in some of the Rules I've added, the Auto-Add feature in the Banking Rules is not working. Appreciate your help. Thanks.

Hi there, @userchachateola.

Let's make sure that the auto-add feature is set up correctly in QuickBooks. This way, it will automatically categorize your downloaded banking transactions.

If you've already checked everything and still getting the same result, run some basic troubleshooting steps. There might be too much cache built up in your current browser that's causing this behavior.

Let's fix this by following these easy steps. To start, use a private browser to access your account in QuickBooks. It is also known as InPrivate in Internet Explorer and Incognito mode in Google Chrome. This browser mode doesn't record the browsing activity on your local device. You can access this by pressing the following keys:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).

If the rules are now working, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Alternatively, you can use another supported browser if the issue persists.
