Hello, I am unable to connect my Standard Bank Business Account. I've got a operator ID and password. Unfortunately no email is linked to my account. How to connect?

I am unable to connect my Standard Bank Business Account. I've got a operator ID and password from the bank. Unfortunately no email is linked to my account. How to connect?

I'm here to help you connect your bank account, Michael.

 

When connecting your Standard Bank Business Account to QuickBooks Online, we can use the username or email associated with your bank website. If unsure, I'd recommend logging in to your online banking to verify the email. Otherwise, you can contact the financial institution to check your login credentials.

 

Once you're ready to connect, I'd suggest following these steps:

 

  1. Go to Bookkeeping and then select Transactions.
  2. Select Bank transactions.
  3. If this is the first bank account you’ve set up, select Connect account. Otherwise, choose Link account.
  4. Search for your financial institutions. You can connect with most banks, even small credit unions. 
  5. Sign into your bank by entering your banking username and password. Then, select Continue.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to connect. Your bank may require additional security checks. 
  7. Select any accounts you want to connect. Then choose the matching account type from your chart of accounts in QuickBooks.
  8. Decide how far back you want to download transactions. Some banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions. Others can go back as far as 24 months.
  9. Once done, select Connect.

If you can't find your bank, I'd suggest searching for it. Aside from that, you can manually upload the transactions in the meantime.
