Hi I am setting up quick books - my company is in Zimbabwe but I cant find the zwd or zwl (local currencies as an option). Is it there - or does it mean I cant use?

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community page, @faraimose.

Currently, the Zimbabwe Dollar (ZWD) currency is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. It may show Zimbabwe Dollar (ZWD) as the home currency but it uses the United States Dollar (USD). Zimbabwe uses both USD and ZWD. At this time, QuickBooks Online (QBO) uses USD as the official currency. This is the reason why the system won't show ZWD for multi-currency.

However, I'll take note of this and pass along the information to our product developers. This way, they'll be able to review and work on the feature as soon as possible.

For additional information about multi-currency, you can read this article: About Multicurrency.

Thanks got it - now working on invoice customization - is there a way to change invoice tax narration to show "Total VAT" as opposed to "Total Tax" in the invoice total summary? My invoice legally has to display the total VAT and narrate it as such. Thanks

Hello there, faraimose,

You can import your own custom form style for invoice. This will let you change Total Tax to Total VAT.

Here's how:

  1. Let's make sure to turn on your Import Style. Simply click the Gear icon and select QuickBooks Labs, then toggle the Import Style button to turn it ON.
  2. Once done, Go back to Settings and select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Click New Style and select Import style.
  4. Select Invoice as form type.
  5. You can also check the Download instructions & samples before uploading your document file.
  6. Click Upload your DOCX file to upload your file and select Next.

You can create different sample designs using these feature to highlight your brand. For more details, you can check this article: Import custom form styles for invoices or estimates. Here's another one: Customize your invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.
