We need to migrate QuickBooks desktop to QuickBooks Online - who do we contact to get this in progress?

We've partnered with MMC Convert to make migrating your data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) seamless and hassle-free. I’m happy to provide more details and guide you through every step of the process.

Just a quick note, MMC Convert is only available for customers using QuickBooks Online Essentials or QuickBooks Online Plus. If you’re ready, let’s go ahead and move your data out of QBDT. Here's how:

1. Back up and save a copy of your desktop data file.
2. Export your lists and prepare detailed reports for your chart of accounts and open transactions to assist with setup.
3. Download all your sales and purchase invoices.
4. Go to Preferences and remove the period end date.
5. Select the invoices for the year you want to download.
6. Download and save copies of all your bank statements.
7. In your new accounting system, enter the opening balances into your chart of accounts and import your customer and supplier lists.
8. Lastly, re-create or import your open transactions and adjust your open balances

Alternatively, you can import data into QBO using Excel CSV files or any third-party apps. This helps centralize your financial records, making it easier to streamline processes, keep accurate records, and manage your business efficiently.

Once everything is settled, you can run reports within the new company to ensure that your financial records are consolidated in one place.
