Question

Has anybody experienced inconsistent totals on identical reports generated between the desktop and mobile application? If so how do you fix it?

Thank you for taking the time to post in the Community, @me49.

In QuickBooks Online, totals should show the same results if you're running the same report. I've also checked, and we haven't received any reported cases similar to your issue.

For me to provide the best solution, I need to gather more data about the issue. Can you share with me the name of the report you're trying to compile from the mobile and desktop applications?

Any additional information will help ensure a timely solution. While waiting for the details, I can share some solutions that you can try to make it work.

First, let's try clearing the cache from the app installed on your Desktop. Here's how:

  1. Open the QuickBooks app.
  2. Click the Help tab at the top menu bar.
  3. Select Reset App Data

While for the mobile app, you ca make sure the release is up to date by going to the Google Play or App store. The steps will depend if you're using an android or apple device.

Additionally, I recommend the following resource which has detailed steps and screenshots about using the QuickBooks app:

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions. I'll be more than happy to help. Wishing you a good one.
