Having trouble linking to the ATO. Can't find the ABN or ID Nimber. Where are they located?

Where you locate this information and what the number is will depend on what you are trying to link to the ATO. If you are connecting your payroll with the ATO for Single Touch Payroll:

1. Select the Employees tab, then Payroll Settings.
2. Select the ATO Settings menu (under the Business Settings heading).
3. Choose the tab Electronic Lodgement & STP. You will see your Software ID number here - be aware the provider is actually Keypay (ABN 70 154 693 955), not QuickBooks. See here for more information on enabling STP.

If you are connecting your GST centre to the ATO for the purposes of e-lodging your BAS:

1. Select the GST tab.
2. Click the Connect to ATO button.
3. Choose if you are authorising via phone or via ATO Access Manager.
4. Your Software ID will be listed here - note the provider is actually Exactor (ABN 61 612 826 605), not QuickBooks. See here for more information on enabling BAS e-lodgement (if you do not see the ID number or the Connect to ATO option, please call support directly on 1800 046 038 to retrieve your unique ID).
