How do I upgrade my subscription

Before anything else, please know that upgrading from QBO Simple Start to QBO Advanced doesn't automatically include payroll functionality. You'll need to purchase QBO Payroll separately and choose a specific payroll plan to access its features.

To begin with, let's get started in upgrading your QBO plan within the program:

1. Sign in to your QBO account as a primary or company admin.
2. Go to the Settings icon on the upper right corner of the page.
3. Select Subscriptions and Billing.
   
   
    
4. Make sure your payment info is updated.
5. Select the tile of your QBO Simple Start subscription, then select Upgrade your plan.
   
   
    
6. If you want to upgrade to the Advanced plan, select Choose plan.
7. Follow the on-screen steps to proceed.

However, if you prefer to keep your QBO Simple Start plan and are only interested in adding QBO Payroll, you have the option to do so:

1. Go to Settings and select Subscription and Billing.
2. Choose the tile for QBO Payroll, then select Choose your plan.
   
   
    
3. Select your preferred QBO Payroll plan. You can select a Free 30-day trial too.
