Question

I am about to give my accountant access to my QB as an "accounting firm" under Manage Users. What access will they have to my account? Will they see everything?

Will they have full access on edit-mode? Or just read-only?

I recognize how important it is to invite your accountant, alfred-ablaza. I'm here to clear out some of your confusion before adding them to your account.

When you give your accountant access to your QuickBooks Online, this lets them review your books, make corrections, and fix any tricky transactions.

To invite your accountant, I'd suggest following these steps:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and then select Manage users.
  3. Select the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Click Invite.
  5. Enter your accountant's info and then select Save.

Once done, QuickBooks will email an invite to your accountant. This contains steps on how to connect to your account. If your accountant doesn't have a QuickBooks Online Accountant version, there's also a sign up link provided.

For more details about this, please see this article: Add an Accountant to Review your Accounting in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, I've included this article that'll help you learn more about the special tools your accountant will use. These tools will help them in reviewing your QuickBooks Online account efficiently: Use Accountant Tools and Features.

I'm only a post away if you need more help in completing your other tasks in QuickBooks, alfred-ablaza. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
