I am trying to forward receipts automatically from my gmail, however they require a verification code from the recipient address. How do I access the inbox?

Thanks for posting in the Community! Let me share with you some information about the verification code when forwarding receipts in QuickBooks Online.

 

The code Gmail has sent will not be seen because it's only within the system. It's the same if you're using the auto-forwarding setup in Gmail. Once you have set up the domain email ([email address removed]) and set the receipt senders to your email address, the process moving forward will be is to create and email, add the receipts as an attachment, and send to the domain set up in your receipt forwarding. This should allow you to forward the receipt to your QuickBooks page.

 

In addition, you can also upload your receipts from your computer to your QuickBooks Online account.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. On Bookkeeping tab, select Receipts.
  2. Select Upload from computer.
  3. Select the receipt and click Open.
