Question

I am unable to get my bank feeds from the Bendigo Bank. I have tried changing my bank password but it still does not work. I have checked the logon id and that is fine.

Welcome to Community, goldfields1.

I'm here to help get bank feeds working in QuickBooks Online.

You can manually update your bank feeds, and see if it downloads your bank transactions. You can follow the steps below for the process:

  1. Go to the Banking menu from the left navigation panel.
  2. Select the Banking tab.
  3. Choose the bank account.
  4. Click the Update button.

If the issue persists, I recommend following the additional solutions found in this article and go directly to steps 3 and 4: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Otherwise, download a Web Connect file or CSV from your bank's website and import it to QuickBooks Online. I've got some articles here for the instructions:

Don't hesitate to post again if you have additional queries about connecting or updating your bank in QuickBooks Online. I'm always here to help.

Thanks for the reply.

I had tried editing by logon details in the QBO banking screen and it won't connect as it comes back with error 103, but I've checked the logon id and password on the Bendigo Bank website and it's fine.

I had tried creating a manual .csv file and was able to import a transaction, but I'd like to know what will happen when I get bank feeds working again and it uploads those same transactions which I've loaded through a .csv file.

I thought it might have been my computer security issue so I tried it on an ipad and received the same problem.

Thanks for the information. Two questions:

1. When my bankfeeds are working again will I just need to match the bankfeeds entries to the manually loaded entries?

2. How can I get an update on when the issue with the Bendigo Bank is resolved?

Regards

Richard

I appreciate you for getting back, @goldfields1. I'm here to share with you some information about handling your bank feeds entries.

Once the open investigation is resolved and your bank downloads the transactions automatically, you can exclude the entries from the Banking page to avoid duplicate records from the manually uploaded transactions.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click on Banking at the left pane, then go to the Banking page.
  3. Select your bank, then go to the For Review tab.
  4. Check the checkbox for each transaction you want to exclude.
  5. Select Exclude.

For more tips about reviewing, categorising, and removing banking entries in QBO, you can open this article: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, you can get updates about the issue by contacting our Support Team as suggested by my colleague JasroV above. Once connected a live agent will add your name to the list of affected users and you'll automatically receive notifications of the latest updates.

Aside from your banking transactions, you can also get more hints about reconciliation to keep track of your statements and balances from this link: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
