I have activated the payroll subscription but there is nothing when I client on the employees tab

Hi julie173,

 

You'll be able to access and do payroll if your subscription is active. Let's try to do some browser troubleshooting so you can access the Employees tab. 

 

First thing to do is to try to access the account on an incognito window or private mode. A private browser does not store any activities, which is why it's a good idea to use it for any unexpected behavior in the program. 

 

Here are the keyboard shortcuts you can use depending on the browser you're using: 

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N


If you're able to access the Employees tab on an incognito or private mode, kindly go back to your regular browser to clear your browser's cache. It is a good idea to clear cache to remove the temporary internet files and to help the application function properly. 

 

Lastly, make sure that you've enabled third party cookies on your browser. 

 

Here are the steps on how to enable third party cookies for some of the common browsers:

 

Google Chrome

 

  1. From the menu, click Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the settings screen and click Show advanced settings
  3. Under the Privacy header, click the Content Settings button.
  4. Under the Cookies section, ensure the Block third-party cookies and site data option is not ticked.

 

Safari

 

  1. Go to the Safari menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Privacy tab and under the Cookies and website data section, ensure the Block all cookies and the Prevent cross-site tracking option is not selected.

 

Once you have unblocked third-party cookies, return to your QuickBooks file. Log out, then log back in. The Employees tab should now load.
