Let me show you how to remove your employee as a user. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Manage Users.
  2. Find the user you want to delete. Select the small arrow icon in the Action column.
  3. Select Delete, then select Delete again in the confirmation window.

You'll want to check this article to see all the user types and user permissions in QuickBooks Online. In addition, you can check this link on how to add, delete, or change user access.
