Question

I use TSheets. How can I prepare a report showing unbilled time and when I issue an invoice how can I ensure the relevant time is then marked as billed?

Hi Brooklynz,

All time marked that is billable and allocated to a customer or project will show on the Unbilled Time Report once imported and approved. You can assign the customer and make it billable in either TSheets or QuickBooks Online. See below steps to edit the time in QBO first if required:

  1. Select + New, then Approve Time.
  2. Edit your date range as required then Run Report.
  3. Click on the employee's name to expand the information and select the time you want to edit. Under Billable, select Yes. Select a customer, then Save and approve the time.
  4. Now, go to the Reports tab and search for the Unbilled Time report.
  5. Edit your date range as required then Run Report to see all unbilled time.

You can then bill the time to a customer and/or project when creating the invoice:

  1. Select + New, then Invoice.
  2. Select the customer or project.
  3. A column will appear on the right titled Add to Invoice showing all unbilled time. Select the time to add it to the invoice.
  4. Enter/edit any other information as required, then Save.
