Question

My client would like to export sales history data out from QBO. Are you able to show us how this can be done and which sales report to use to do so?

Hello alyssa-johnrdtat,

There is a wide range of sales reports you can run in QuickBooks Online. If you wanted to export sales history, you can run the Sales by Customer Details, Transaction List by Customer, or can go to the All Sales tab too.

Here's how:

  1. Click on the Reports tab.
  2. On the search box type in either Sale by Customer Details or Transaction List by Customer or scroll down and go to the Who owes you section and you'll see different reports for customers.
  3. Select the report, and filter the Report period.
  4. Click on Customise if you wanted to add more Rows/Columns and Filter.
  5. Click on Run report.

To export All Sales transactions, let's go to the Sales tab. Here's how:

  1. Click on the Sales tab.
  2. Click on All Sales.
  3. Click on Filter to select a date range, transaction type and etc.
  4. Click on Apply.
  5. Click on the Export to Excel icon just right above the ACTIONS column.
