Question

New to purchase orders and already frustrated by not being able to format column widths to allow best fit for text content. Can column widths be adjusted and printed?

Hi richard-industri,

Thanks for posting in the Community! Let me show you how to adjust the column width on a purchase order.

  1. Go to Gear icon and select Custom form styles.
  2. Select Edit on Standard template.
  3. Select Content.
  4. Click on the second pencil icon located on the invoice.
  5. Click Edit labels and widths and resize the columns.
  6. Select Done.

I can see the convenience of having the option to customise and print column widths on purchase orders in QuickBooks Online. Please know that our product developers are always finding and considering new features to be added and help your run your business easier. I would suggest to send feedback by going to the Gear icon at the upper right of QuickBooks Online then clicking on Feedback.
