Hi there, clare7.

There are times that the browser stores a frequently-accessed data, thus websites, like QBO, to received unusual error message.

I suggest logging in to your QBO account using a private browser. Browsing privately disables the cache from saving your browsing data, and it's a good way to check issues caused by a full cache.

To use a private browser, here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N

  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + N

  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + N

  • Safari: Command + Option + N

If it works in incognito, clear the cache of your regular browser. Doing this helps QBO to function more efficiently. You can check out this article that will provide more information: Clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files.

If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different one.

Please check this article on you can add a new user and assign permissions, edit existing user permissions and delete users: How to manage users in QuickBooks Payroll.

Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. Wishing you and your business continued success.
