Question

The trade debtors account does not appear on the balance sheet, either as a cash or accruals account. How or what do I need to do to get this to show on report?

Hi swbp,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

Balance Sheet report includes asset, liability and owner's equity accounts. Let's check on your Chart of Accounts to see the account type and detail type you've selected for your trade debtors account.

Here's how:

  1. On Accounting tab select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Look for your trade debtors account and see Type and Detail Type column.

Once you've confirmed that the trade debtors account is set up as an asset, liability or owner's equity account, let's run the Balance Sheet report again and customise it.

  1. Go to Reports tab and select Balance Sheet.
  2. On Show non-zero or active only drop-down menu, select All for Show rows and Show columns.
  3. Select Run report
