We are trying to lodge the June month Payroll through STP but we are getting the below error: Error: 10, Pay Event has reached retry limit Please help to resolve it.

Hi cloud-users,

 

This error usually indicates that while the lodgement was sent, there were repeated failed attempts to retrieve a message from the ATO. After multiple attempts do not retrieve the response, the system will time out and the pay event will fail. You can instead lodge an Update Event to bring across the most recent, up-to-date information to the ATO:

 

  1. Go to the Employees tab, then select Reports.
  2. Select Single Touch Payroll (under the ATO Reporting subheading).
  3. Select Create Update Event, choose the financial year and pay schedule, then Create
  4. Follow the prompts to Lodge with the ATO.

 

The Update Event brings across all YTD data for those employees in the financial year selected and will therefore include the failed pay event data. For more information on error messages and troubleshooting failed or partially failed pay events, see here.
