I am a sole trader with one employee, should I be using QuickBooks Self-Employed?

I noticed the same post in US Community. I recommended to pick QB Online. If you are located in AU, make sure to pick QB Online AU version.

Hi Susan5572,

 

The payroll function is currently available in QuickBooks Online version. If you have employees to pay and need to process pay run, it's recommended to use the QuickBooks Online (Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus) version. The QuickBooks Self Employed does not have the payroll function at the moment and Self Employed is offered for freelancers, and contractors.
