Good day,

 

How to change the subject line to pull in from the <Custom> field instead of using the invoice number.

Hello there, @Rueben1.
 

I'll be glad to walk you through how to change the subject line to pull in from the field instead of using the invoice number.
 

You can manually edit the subject line upon sending the invoice or by going to the Custom Form Styles.
 

Here's how:
 

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Custom Form Styles.
  2. Locate the Standard or Master Template and click Edit.
  3. Go to the Emails tab.
  4. From the Subject field, add the line you want to show in your email subject line.
  5. Then select Done.

Good morning,

 

Thank you for the response. Unfortunately this does not solve my problem. 

 

I have created a custom field for the invoice using transaction pro, how do I then get the custom field to  populate  the email subject line. I run around 500 invoices per a  month. Each number in the custom field is unique therefore it needs to pull in automatically.

    You can try looking for the most compatible third-party applications in QuickBooks Online. Here's how:

     

    1. Go to Apps.

    2. Click Finds Apps.

    3. Type a keyword in the Search for an app field.

    4. If you have found the app you're looking for, just click Get App Now.
