QuickBooks Online invitation

The client invited me as an accountant user for his QBO, but when I click to accept invitation, there is no option for me to sign in (only an sign-up screen shows). Please could you help advise how I can accept the invitation?

I'll provide you with some information when accepting an invitation and guide you on what you can do, Bestarion.

 

With access to the company as an accountant, you can review books, make corrections, and collaborate on any issues. Aside from that, you can also prepare and review revenue, payroll, expense, and budgets for companies and individuals.

 

When your client invites you as an accountant, you'll get a link to access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) Company if you have already a QuickBooks Online for Accountant (QBOA). However, if you don't have a QBOA subscription, you can sign up once you received an invitation. Signing up is free and allows you to access your client's QBO at no cost. 

 

To create a brand new profile for QuickBooks Online Accountant, you can follow the steps provided below:

 

  1. Head over to our website.
  2. Select the Sign up link.
  3. Follow the steps to create a new firm.

 

  1. Head over to our website for your region.
  2. Go to the accountants page and select the link to sign up.
  3. Follow the steps to create a new firm.

Hi Maria,

Thanks for your information. However, I already had an log in for QB online accountant, and my issue is when client sends the invitation, why it does not show the sign-in option for me to accept the invitation by my account? It only shows the sign-up dashboard which I cannot sign up again? (Actually I already accepted some invitations before and it did show the options for me to sign in by my account, but this time it does not show).

Do you know what the reason is?

Since you confirmed that you're logged in using QBO Accountant, let's perform some troubleshooting procedures to isolate the issue.

 

Start logging in to your account through a private window. Occasionally, the accumulated site data in the system get outdated or corrupted, causing unexpected behaviors and runtime errors. Using this mode prevents internet files from being stored in the system. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If that works, return to your regular browser and clear its cache and cookies to start over fresh. Switching to other supported web browsers is also a good alternative.
