Hi there, lee-satchell91-h.

I’ll guide you on how to reestablish your bank connection. Let’s run some basic troubleshooting steps to move past the error.

Before we proceed, may I know the name of the Financial Institution? This is to check if we have a reported issue.

Error 572 is a result of an OAuth (an open standard for authentication) protocol with your bank. We’re also switching to this banking feature so the connection is faster and sign-ins are easier.

When you’re ready, let’s log in to your bank’s website to check if there's ongoing maintenance or any notification that requires your approval. It will help determine the cause of the issue.

Next, review the security information of the bank account. Then make sure third parties like QuickBooks are allowed to connect and sync data.

If your bank’s website is working fine including the settings, log in to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) and update the bank feeds to start fresh.

  1. Press the Gear icon in the upper right and select Bank accounts under Transactions.
  2. In the Connect another account screen, press the Refresh all button.

If you get the same result, manually import the transactions using a CSV file. Check this write-up for detailed instructions: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I’m adding some links below for future reference. These resources contain answers to common questions about OAuth and solutions to online banking errors. One of the articles is from another region, but it also applies to your version.

Keep in touch if you have other online banking concerns. I’m always ready to answer them for you. Have a great weekend ahead.
