Thanks for dropping by here in the Community, dchplumbing-heat.

I can help you link your Mettle business account to QuickBooks Online.

Banking error 572 usually occurs when there's an issue when linking the account. It's a result of the Oauth (an open standard for authentication) connection.

When a user encounters problems with QBO that appear to be browser-related, we recommend that they clean their cache. Too much historical data kept in your browser can cause problems like this. We can get rid of them in a few simple steps.

You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

Once logged in, connect your bank again. If it works, clear your browser's cache. This way, you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also switch to a different supported browser to see if it has something to do with your browser.

In case you’re getting the error when trying to update your bank, you can refer to this article.

Additionally, I've attached a link you can use as a reference on how to fix banking errors that prevents you from downloading transactions automatically: Open Banking connection errors.

Fill me in if the error persists when linking the bank account. I'm always here to help. Take care.
