Great piece of advice, thanks :((
1/ you are teaching me how to connect my bank, I have done it hundreds of times for many years, please understand we are reaching here not because w don't know how to connect bank account, but because connection does not work.
2/ multiple bank names in the search field? - yes I can see two: NatWest Bank (UK) and NatWest International (UK - Excluding Channel Islands) and both does not work.
3/ you can manually import your bank transactions - we all know it, the problem is about connection not manual import. I can manually do all my credits and debits on the piece of paper but I selected to use accounting software instead.
4/ reach out to our Customer Care Team - done several times and no help from anyone including screen share and referring to higher engineers.
Sorry for annoyed tonne, but dealing with this problem for few months and no help since.
Again, please anyone can confirm there is only one stupid person who can't connect NatWest? - me! so I will start to re-assess my abilities.
Can anyone confirm his/her NatWest bank feed works as a dream with no problem at all?
Thanks
OIO
Hi there, OIO.
I can provide you some information on how you can connect with your NatWest Business Bankine to QuickBooks. For the meantime, there's no any reported issues about connecting NatWest bank to QBO.
I suggest, checking your bank's website. There may be an issue on their end and it loses connection with QBO every time there are updates.
- Go to the Banking tab.
- Select on Add Account.
- Search for your bank and click it.
- Select the URL listed in the window.
- Sign in using your bank website username and password.
- Check your account page for messages, notifications, or alerts. Any display or login issues on the bank’s end can block downloads.
- Also, check your bank’s website for any new security requirements. Even something as simple as updating your bank password can block QuickBooks.
- If everything looks good, try to connect again your bank.
If the issue continues to occur, I suggest logging into your QuickBooks account using a private browser to see if we get the same result. And, this method prevents cookies from being stored on your computer, making it a great place to identify browser problems.
Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using.
- For Internet Explorer of Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
- For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
- For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.
If the steps above work and don't have a problem using a private browser, I suggest clearing the cache of your regular browser. This eliminates the stored files so it helps the browser to function efficiently. If not, use other supported browsers.
Please check this article to see steps on how you can manually import your transactions if you don’t see them in your recently downloaded bank transactions in QBO: Open Banking connection errors in QuickBooks Online. This also provides information on how to fix different banking errors.
Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. Wishing you and your business continued success.
