Question

Constantly has a 590 error when trying to connect to Santander. I did notice the expiry date auto comes up as 5/8/2122 instead of 90 days.

Hi, jokelly.

I'm here to help fix the error you received so you can reconnect your Santander bank account.

The error 590 typically occurs if your Financial Institution updated their website. This error should self resolve within 48 hours. If the issue persists after the given period, you'll have to reauthorise the bank account to reconnect it.

Before disconnecting the account, review the entries on the For review tab to ensure that all of the transactions are the ones that you want to include in QuickBooks Online. From there, take note of the last transaction date, and then you'll have to disconnect the account. Here's how:

  1. From the Banking tab, select Banking.
  2. Select the bank account you need to disconnect.
  3. Click the edit (pencil) icon and select Edit account info.
  4. Tick the Disconnect this account on save box.
  5. Click Save and Close.

Once disconnected, you can reconnect the account.

I've also added these articles as your guide in categorising bank transactions:

Let me know if you have other banking concerns. I'll be here if you have more questions.
