Making your customers able to pay through Paypal is my goal, @stuartearnestcar.

Before anything else, would you mind if I ask if your customers happen to receive any error messages while trying to pay through Paypal? This is for me to determine and provide the appropriate solution based on your situation.

In the meantime, let's have your customers log in using a private window. It ignores websites from using cookies and doesn't record any history and data. Here's how to access incognito mode:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If they're able to pay using incognito, we can conclude that the issue is caused by the browser. Let's have them clear their regular browser's cache and cookies

However, if even after using incognito they still can't pay, I recommend switching to another browsing application. Here's a list of supported browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari 11 or newer

Additionally, once the transactions are in, here's an article that'll guide you in setting up bank rules to speed up the review process of the transactions coming from Paypal: Set up bank rules to categorise online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I'll be keeping an eye out for your reply and as always, you can always ping me in the comment section if you have any additional questions regarding Paypal payments in QuickBooks Online. Take care!

Hello Community users, we just wanted to pop in and add an additional suggestion for resolving customers being unable to pay with  by PayPal on the QuickBooks invoice. It can sometimes be the app itself has an issue. We'd recommend uninstalling the app from the QuickBooks app section and the reinstalling it. Then sending yourself a test invoice with the pay by PayPal option. If you still find you are getting the same issue let us know and we'll raise this with our senior technicians straight away.
