Question

Deducting Tax

Dear All,

Is there a way for QuickBooks to deduct a % for tax (Self-employed) from an invoice and then allocate to another account?  Or do I have to import the other account that holds the tax amounts and then reconcile the amounts to this account?

Thanks for your assistance.

Hi there, Padsta Gardener.

I'm here to ensure the taxes are recorded on your QuickBooks account.

As of now, the option to deduct taxes on the transactions automatically is unavailable. However, I have a workaround that you may want to consider.

You can manually calculate the taxes and then create a separated invoice. On the other invoice (for the taxes), select the account.

I've also added this article as your guide in tracking invoice payments: Record invoice payments.
