Error 1325 prevents installation of QB Desktop Pro premier trial version 2021 (in order to extract my data from desktop)

As stated above, I am unable to open a temporary trial version of QB desktop which I need to do in order to extract my 25+ years old QB desktop data to QBO

 

On running the installation I get Error 1325 : the Documents folder is not valid. QB can only be installed on a hard drive.

 

Support were not able to help.

 

I suspect the error may be caused by the fact that I store my data on F drive rather than the windows standard C drive

 

Any ideas how to get the program installed?

Have you installed the trial version on your computer before? Make sure to run the installer file on your local drive to minimize any error. Just to make sure, do you need to convert your data from QB Desktop to QB Online UK version or another region?

    In answer :-

    No I had not installed the trial before. I had run QB desktop for many years with this setup with no issue.

    The conversion or manual loading of data from QBD to QBO is all UK 

    I am running installer on local drive.

    The only non standard factor is that I do not use C drive for My Documents. Most programs default to thsi of course. but this has never caused a problem with installs before.

    Contact me in private and we can share the installer file of the trial version for QBD 2020 and 2021. You may need to make sure your current installer file is not damaged.
