Thanks for bringing this to our attention here in the Community, @263464.

I've checked here on my end if there's an ongoing investigation about the "Accounting dates don't match" error and it's still open. Our Product Development Team is currently working to have a permanent fix.

Just to confirm, did you already received an email within 72 hours after setting up the MTD in the program? Here's an article you can refer to: Making Tax Digital for VAT

If it's past 72 hours but still getting the same error, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online (QBO) Support Team. By doing so, one of our specialists will add your company to the list of affected users. They'll be able to notify you about the issue's status via email.

You can reach out to them on the QuickBooks Online section through this link: QBO Customer Care Team

This should point you in the right direction. Please let me know how it goes after contacting them, @263464.

I'll be around to help if you have any follow-up questions or concerns.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, i've been signed up on the Gov website and received the confirmation email from them. Everything is fine on the government website side of things, the error is just with quickbooks. I have spent many hours on the phone to your people about this over the last couple of weeks and still nobody can help.

I am already added to the investigation I believe. Are you any further forward with finding a resolution for this issue? as i'd like it resolved, its been a long time and still nothing.

Hello there, @263464,

Thanks for letting me know that you've already received a confirmation email from HMRC. Also, I appreciate you contacting our support team to add your account to the notification list.

Yes, I've reviewed the investigation and its status is still open. We are working hard to find ways to fix everything as soon as possible.

We thank you for your patience. I'll keep you posted once there are any updates available, @263464.
