Question

Hi, Has anyone migrated from Sage? Is there a way around keeping the SAGE eight-figure account name reference?

Let me provide a few details when migrating from Sage. I'll give you some tips on how the conversion can be done successfully, Accounts.

Processing times to convert your Sage 50 data to QuickBooks Online will vary depending on the size and format of your Sage file. On average, it takes up to 72 hours from the time your data is uploaded into the Dataswitcher conversion wizard.

At the moment, QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't support account numbers with 8 or more characters. If one or more of your Sage 50 Account IDs in our chart of accounts have more than 8 characters, this will cause a failed conversion. You'll have to make sure that the account name should only have a maximum of 8 characters to prevent issues when migrating your data.

To give more details on what you can or can't be converted from Sage to QuickBooks read this article for your reference:

In addition, you can run a report to ensure all your data are migrated successfully migrated after you import your file.  Know what reports that are included in your QBO subscription. I've got this for your guide: Reports Included in your QuickBooks Online Subscription.
