Thanks for posting here, @kyle-apollofp-co. I got some steps to help you charge a customer for mileage in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To resolve this, let's start by creating an expense transaction for the mileage. Then, make it billable to your customer. Before that, ensure that the billable expense feature is enabled in QBO. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon and choose Account and settings.
  2. Next, go to the Expenses tab and select the Bills and expenses section.
  3. From there, turn on the Show Items table on expense and purchase forms, Track expenses and items by customer, and Make expenses and items billable options.
  4. When done, click Save.

After that, create an expense transaction and make sure that the Billable box is checked and select the customer's name. Please see the screenshot below for reference:

You'll see this billable expense once you create an invoice for that customer. Just select the Add button to add it to the transaction.

That's it, you'll be able to charge your customer for mileage in QBO.

If you have any other concerns managing customer transactions, feel free to post again here. I'm just around the corner ready to lend a hand. Have a great day ahead.
