Question

Hi. How do I turn off notifications asking me to switch on mileage tracking? I don't want to do this, but the requests come through every other day.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community regarding this matter, Alan. I'm here to help you sort things out.

If this mileage notification is from your mobile app, we can turn off this mileage notification in your phone settings. It will also block notifications you don't want, you'll just have to go to Settings and tap Notifications. Also, the option to turn off notifications in QuickBooks Online using a browser is currently unavailable.

Otherwise, you'll want to clear the app's data, this can be done on the app. Here's how:

For the IOS version:

  1. Go to the Menu icon and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. If you get a prompt message “Caution. If there was a problem getting your latest QuickBooks Online data, you can refresh it now. It may take a few minutes.”
  4. Tap Refresh to confirm.

For Android:

  1. Go to the Menu icon, then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings then Refresh Data.
  3. Select YES to confirm.
