hi i have just started using quick books but can i transfer my previous income information from 2018 from another app (invoice simple) to my profit and loss section in quick books?

The option to import previous income transactions from an invoice app into QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is unavailable. You'll need to manually enter the transactions into QBSE.
