Thank you for choosing QuickBooks as your accounting software, @Cheryl11_2.

Let me share some information on how bank feeds work in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and help you import your previous transactions.

Once you've connected your bank account in QBO, it'll automatically download the last 90 days of transactions. To get the previous transactions, you'll need to import them manually to QBO. Here's how:

  1. Go to your bank's website and download last year's transactions via a CSV file.
  2. Then, review the file format and its size. Make sure it's in the correct format before you upload it.
  3. Once done, sign in to your QBO account and click Banking/Transactions from the left menu. Then, click Upload transactions.
  4. Select Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then, choose Continue.
  5. Choose the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then, click Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks.
  7. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then, select Continue.
  8. Click Yes. When you accept your transactions, select Done.

You can check out this article for more guidance: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. This will also help you categorise the transactions to put into the correct accounts.

You may also want to reconcile your bank accounts in QBO. This will help make sure your QuickBooks transactions match your bank statement.
