Hi I would like to add my accountant to QuickBooks but do I have to upgrade to do this as I can't see in settings? Thanks

You don't need to upgrade to any higher subscription to add an accountant, keirangarvey. Let's go ahead and add them to your account. 

 

Adding an accountant is available in all versions of QuickBooks Online. To invite them to your company, you can follow the steps I'll share with you below.

 

  1. Log in to your QBO as a primary admin.
  2. Click the Gear icon.
  3. Select Manage users, then the Accountants tab.
  4. If this is your first time inviting an accountant, write their email address in the space provided. Once done, hit Invite, and then follow the on-screen steps to verify your account.
  5. An email containing the link to access your QBO account will be sent to your accountant. If they don't have an account with Intuit Business Services, they will be prompted to create a user ID before accessing your company's account.
  6. On the Manage Users page, the status of your accountant will remain as Invited until they sign in. Once they accept the invitation, their status will change to Active.
